Supporting an Inclusive Culture
Foley’s Talent team continued striving to make Foley the best place to work for everyone by remaining focused on advancing fairness, transparency, and the elimination of bias across our processes and systems.
For example, as part of the attorney performance review process, Foley transitioned from a consensus-style, summary evaluation to a model that provides direct and attributed feedback to associates, senior counsel, special counsel, patent agents, and public affairs advisors. This shift reflects best practices in talent development and represents an important investment in the professional growth of our people. Receiving comments directly from supervising attorneys provided our associates, senior counsel, special counsel, patent agents, and public affairs advisors with concrete examples of how they are excelling for our clients, and actionable areas for improvement and goal setting.
To further support a culture that is inclusive of all, we also hosted live firmwide programming recognizing and celebrating a variety of heritage months and historical events. Learn more about our 2025 speakers and topics below:
The Path & The Practice, featuring Foley attorneys sharing their career journeys, reached a milestone with its 130th episode and more than 60,000 lifetime downloads.
Hosted by Alexis Robertson, director of diversity, equity, & inclusion, each episode features a one-on-one conversation with a Foley attorney exploring their unique background, path to law school, and journey to the firm. The series highlights the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives Foley attorneys bring to the practice of law.
